Welcome to the Surgical society of Kenya website. We now have an interactive portal that contains journals, articles and various information and sources that relates to surgery and medicine as a profession. Our purpose is to advance the education, research and quality of Kenyan surgery. We also sponsor and promote surgical journals, to encourage and support Kenyan surgical research.
You are invited to attend/sponsor a COSECSA two-day General Surgery seminar scheduled for the 17th and 18th May 2012 at MP Shah Hospital Hall Nairobi. This seminar specifically targeted for the COSECSA trainees and other interested post-graduate students.
The College’s Division of Education and International Relations Committee are pleased to announce two international scholarships focused on surgical education.
Two scholarships will be offered to provide young faculty members from countries other than the U.S. and Canada the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational opportunities for faculty development and enhancement that will result in acquisition of new knowledge and skills in surgical education and training. This knowledge and these skills will be useful in improving surgical education and training at the scholar’s home institution and Country.
The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP ®) offers International ACS NSQIP Scholarships for two surgeons from countries other than the United States or Canada who demonstrate strong interests in surgical quality improvement.
